Morenowinedirect is the website of Moreno Wine Merchants.

Our thriving shop in Maida Vale, west London has been selling wines direct to the public for 30 years, and regularly wins the International Wine Challenge 'Spanish Wine Merchant of the Year'.

We specialise in Spanish wines but also have collections from France and Italy, Argentina and Chile, Australia and New Zealand.

Our Fine and Rare cellar is extensive with over 150 Spanish wine listings, some dating back to the 19th century.

We are committed to quality wines and quality service. Our approach to wine is professional but not stuffy or pretentious. We believe wine is to be enjoyed and explored, whatever your level of knowledge.

History

The company was started by Juan and Salome Moreno in 1972. We've been supplying the UK restaurant and retail trade now for over 30 years. In the mid 1980s their son, Manuel Moreno, developed the merchant business further and in 1985 the company began representing wine producers as an agency business.

These days . . .

Moreno Wine Merchant has been run and managed by Alastair Moss (who has worked in the trade for 15 years, in the UK and Australia) since 2001. During this time the shop has gone from strength to strength, listing a larger, more diverse, and, more importantly, better range of wines. We are constantly looking to improve, discover and learn. Our list is impressive, but not complete - there are always wines to find (and drink!).
