"Turret Fields - the name comes from the turret of Castle Madax which dominates the vineyard of the same name.

Low yielding vines, modern winemaking and partial ageing of 22% in our American oak barrels, has created a magnificently rich, complex, fruity red wine from Bodegas Lúzon just outside the town of Jumilla. Bruce is the distributor for these American oak barrels in South Africa and swears by them; the wood is naturally dried rather than kiln dried, resulting in a more subtle and balanced oak character. The Monastrell in the wine gives warmth and roundness while 25% Syrah adds a spicy finish. Delicious now but will keep well for a good 2 years."
