A small DO located in the Aragón region in northern Spain, west of the city of Zaragoza in the Ebro Valley. In addition to the large volumes of red wine, about 20 percent of the production is rosé; there's also a small amount of white wine. The main grape for red wine is Garnacha (grenache).

La Copa Garnacha 2007

Pronounced nose of sweet cherry, plum and forest fruit. Medium-bodied with crunchy, crisp fruit that is followed nicely by well-balanced structure.

Decent length and some complexity as it opens up.

Ageing potential: Best drunk young.

Suggested meals: Ideal with light meat dishes, tomato based dishes, pasta, sausages or roasted vegetables.
